Pretty Prairie USD 311 News & Events

Pretty Prairie Community Halloween!The Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church is sponsoring Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 31st form 6:00-7:00 pm in the HS Parking Lot. The community is invited to decorate a vehicle, or just bring some chairs, and hand out candy. Parents & Grandparents are invited to bring your kiddos in costume and trunk or treat. There is no charge for this event, however, free will donations will be accepted for the Pretty Prairie Food Bank.

REMINDER! There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, November 1st - enjoy the Fall break!

The Reno County Health Department will be offering flu shots - they will even file your insurance for you! They will be at the Grade School on Friday, November 8th from 1:00-4:00 pm. They will be back on Wednesday, November 13th at the Middle School, also from 1:00-4:00 pm. Parents do not need to be present for their student to receive a flu shot. Consent forms will be available in the school offices. The public is also welcome to take advantage of this opportunity.

High School Announcements

Stuco is still selling candy bars and meat sticks for $1 BEFORE school only (7:30 until 8:00) in Ms Richards' room! Sorry, we cannot sell during the school day.

Picture re-takes have been RESCHEDULED for today, November 11th. Forms are in both offices if you need to have your picture re-taken.

"The HS Choir will travel to Fairfield on Tuesday, November 12th to sing in the HOPL Mass Choir event. Students will need to be released at noon and bring their concert clothes with them to school on that day. The evening concert will feature the combined choirs of the league schools."

This year's Musical, "Disaster", will be on November 15th, 16th, and 17th. Show times are 7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 2:00 pm on Sunday.

High School students: Please do not over stuff your chromebook backpacks. They are designed to keep your chromebook safe while traveling from class to class. They are not meant to replace your other backpack, so please just use common sense when putting items inside. Thank you.

If you are a new teacher or para, PPO has a free Bulldog lanyard for you in the High School Office. Stop by and pick yours up. High School students: If you would like to purchase a lanyard they are for sale at $2.00 a piece.

High School Boys basketball meeting on Wednesday during Seminar in Mr. Detter's room

High School Girls Basketball meeting on Wednesday right after the boys. About 9:25 am.
